SIZING:

  • Available in XS, S, M, L, and XL. See our size guide for detailed measurements.

  • The sleeve cuff should fall around your thumb knuckle so that if you make a fist, your whole hand is covered.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

Wool does not absorb odors so if it’s not visibly stained, air out your anorak in a dry place for a day or two. Should you stain your wool anorak, simply clean it with some mild soap and water by dabbing (not scrubbing) the spot. Never machine wash your anorakFor best results, dry clean.

Integrity

Dear Arcturus family,

As a pastry chef of 38 years, I recognize passion in an instant. Your wares immediately exude the love of what you offer. I’ve attained five of your blankets, and the most recent acquisition of your impeccable anorak. When something is simply well done, nothing more needs to be explained. Just hope you remain as great as you are... always.
Graciously yours,
Satisfied customer

Hood is a 10 Man Tent

The hood is so large it is unusable for walking around with it up
The quality of the anoraks is very good I just can't use it with the hood covers my face. The price and the construction are spot on They need to change the design. Its not like I have a Bettle Juice head. My wife says I acutely have a BIG head. I just donated it to a homeless shelter

This gear is terrific. Wearing only my base layer and this anorak in high 30s low 40s and I was perfectly comfortable. Not warm or cold just perfect. I did feel a little warm in middle 50s.
I'm confident that with my pull over and shell the anorak could easily keep me warm down to sub teens. Even colder with my cold weather base layer!

Highly Recommend

Just received my Charcoal Anorak from your company. It is fantastic, the quality is top notch, shipping super fast. Ordered on September 2 and it was here by 6:15pm Wensday September 4th. I ordered a large and it fits great with a tee shirt and sweat shirt on, I then put a fleece vest over the other shirts and still had plenty of room the sleeves were just right. I highly recommend this product and store.

Excellent Value for the Price

The wool is heavier and quality much better than I expected for the price. I have a 44+” chest and a 34” waist. The large was excellent fit, allowing for an Irish knit sweater underneath and freedom of movement. Two suggested improvements: the small button (attached to a ribbon) intended to enclose the throat area in severe weather is, frankly, not thought out, looks and is cheap. I took the anorak to a tailor to get rid of the button/ribbon, make the button hole larger and install a much more substantial and secure button befitting heavy weight wool. Secondly, the nylon inner pocket of the kangaroo pouch is also very chintzy and will not stand up to wear. I think the inner pocket should be made of wool or the cordura used on the shoulders, and include a snap or zipper to keep smaller ideas secure, particularly since the pouch pocket can not be closed. Details matter to me. These issues notwithstanding, I expect to get many years of hard wear with the anorak. An excellent purchase, particularly at the sale price. Hope this helps.
