Tarp arrived in just a few days. Exactly as advertised. Great. But, as advertised, it is for emergency purposes and not regular use. The reflective mylar has worn away at friction points after just a few uses as a "pup tent".
Thanks for bringing this to our attention! The reflective layer should not be wearing away like that so we'll be contacting you shortly to send a replacement.
I have both sizes but being 6’-3” the smaller size is just a little too small. This one does the job. Good size to provide shelter for me and my bag. It is a little bulky but such is life when you are big and tall
I have not yet opened the package as I bought three of these for Xmas gifts. Grandpa Prepper, that's me. However, I can tell just by examining the material through the packaging that this is a substantial and tough item. Thanks, Arcturus, this is just what I wanted!
Ive used this on 3 trips so far. First time I didn’t have a warm enough sleeping bag, used this as a top cover. It was a little noisy but helped keep me warm at 20 degrees F.with a subpar sleeping bag. 2nd trip we used as a tarp to keep the rain off our gear and us while the storm passed. The tie off points are well made- best I’ve seen on any tarp. Very versatile piece of equipment. Only knock is I can’t fit it back in the nifty pouch it comes in. Isn’t for someone who counts grams, but I justify it in my pack because it’s tough.
I bought this as a gift. My friend received a tent for Christmas. I thought this would be a great gift for her. She has not had the opportunity to put it to use it. This could always be used as emergency blanket in case you have car trouble and needed something to help you stay comfortable while waiting on someone to rescue you. I will be able to tell you more when she actually uses it but so far she is very impressed. Thank you for being around.
