The seems need to be Reinforced and material needs to be rip stop. This tor the first use in moderate conditions with no wind.
Ive used this on 3 trips so far. First time I didn’t have a warm enough sleeping bag, used this as a top cover. It was a little noisy but helped keep me warm at 20 degrees F.with a subpar sleeping bag. 2nd trip we used as a tarp to keep the rain off our gear and us while the storm passed. The tie off points are well made- best I’ve seen on any tarp. Very versatile piece of equipment. Only knock is I can’t fit it back in the nifty pouch it comes in. Isn’t for someone who counts grams, but I justify it in my pack because it’s tough.
I bought this as a gift. My friend received a tent for Christmas. I thought this would be a great gift for her. She has not had the opportunity to put it to use it. This could always be used as emergency blanket in case you have car trouble and needed something to help you stay comfortable while waiting on someone to rescue you. I will be able to tell you more when she actually uses it but so far she is very impressed. Thank you for being around.
This size is what I wanted more than anything. This is large enough to make a small tent for two people. So far it’s the toughest survival blanket I have found.
I'd seen the XL survival blanket in use and had to try it out myself, and just like the standard size it works perfectly!
